The resturant serves very good and spicy local dishes. You might want to try there,Guest: How far is it from here?
Receptionist:It's located near the Yu Yuan Tan Park on west side of the city. It is quite a distance from here. I would suggest that you take a taxi over. Guest: All right. We will go there by taxi. But do you mind writing down the name of the restaurant on this piece of paper for us so that I can show it to our taxi driver?
Receptionist:No, not at all. Here you go. Guest: One lastthing, do you have any idea how mnuch we should pay the taxi driver for the trip?
Receptionist:12 yuann would be plenty to cover it. Guest: Thank you very much for your information. You have a nice day now. Receptionist: Thank you. And you too.
Dialogue 2
An Early Morning Call Guest: Good evening? This is Mr. Baldwin in room 303. Receptionist: Good evening,Mr. Baldwin. What can I do for you?
Guest: I'm going to Tianjin early tomorrow morning. So I would like to request an early morning call. Receptionist: Yes, Mr. Baldwin, at what time would you like us to call you tomorrow morning?
Guest: Well,I'm not really sure. But I have to be at the conference room of the Hyatt Tianjin by 10 o'clock. You wouldn't know how long it takes to drive to Tianjin from the hotel, would you?
Receptionist: I would give it three to three and a half hours.
Guest: That means that I'll have to be on the road by 7 o'clock at the latest.
Receptionist:That's right.
Guest:Well,in that case, I would like you to call me at 5:45?
Receptionist:OK.,so we will wake you up at 5:45 tomorrow morning. Good night, Mr. Baldwin. Have a good sleep. Guest: Good night.
